What do wine bloggers do in their spare time? Drink wine, of course, and sit around with their other wine blogging friends dreaming up ways to make a little money…so they can buy more wine. And that’s how this whole idea was hatched; during an evening of good wine, good food and good friends.
You would think that someone who gets up and starts tasting wine by 10am would be an alcoholic. On the surface, that’s how it would look, but I’m not an alcoholic…I’m a blogger! And what better to proudly tell the world that you’re not just another wino than to wear your sentiments on your sleeve, well, actually on your chest and back. Or for those rare occasions when you’re not drinking wine, our 11 oz. coffee mug will say it all. And, hey, who says you have to drink coffee in that mug? While you’re there, be sure to check out all the designs I have available.
And since Thea Dwelle helped me by remembering what I said that night in my inebriated state, I’ve decided that the proceeds from these items will be donated to help elevate mere alcoholics to true wine blogger status by helping send them to Virginia for the Wine Bloggers Conference in 2011. (I know, it’s a year away, but why not get started early?) So if it will make you feel any better, know that the royalties on these products will be donated to the Wine Bloggers Scholarship Fund to send a needy wine blogger to the 2011 conference. Doesn’t that just give you a warm fuzzy feeling all over?
And of COURSE, they will also be available as Pieces of Flair for your namebadge next year too!
I know my officemates will LOVE it when I drink out of my shiny mug.
BUT WAIT – what about the reusable aluminum water…err WINE bottle!
;-p
Eric, you are a mad genius and I wanna be like you when I grow up.
What a great idea and of course such a great cause!!
I may have to do some 10am wine blogging about this!
White? White T shirts never a good idea for the working blogger. Haha
Duh. Black. That’s why there are black T-shirts available.
